The 360Dialog integration allows you to connect your WorkHack forms to a WhatsApp number and nudge your form-filler on WhatsApp with reminders in case of partial submissions, leading to higher conversion rates on your forms. It also allows you to host the entire data collection journey on WhatsApp itself.

It also allows you to host the entire data collection journey on WhatsApp itself.

Steps to Set Up:

  1. Get your 360Dialog number’s API key. In case you don’t have the API key for your WhatsApp number handy:

    • Head over to your 360Dialog dashboard and click on the Manage button for the number you wish to connect.

    • Generate a new API key after acknowledging that previous API keys for the same number won’t be valid anymore.

    • Copy the newly generated key and close the dialog box on the 360Dialog dashboard. Now, head over to the WorkHack dashboard.

  2. In the Apps tab on WorkHack Form Builder, open the WhatsApp integration and click on Install. You will be prompted to enter your API key. Paste the key and click on Install the integration. Learn more about apps on WorkHack here.

  1. Once installed, a new button, Add to Form, will be visible. Select it. You will be prompted to select a form via a drop-down. You can select the form for which you wish to enable its WhatsApp counterpart. Learn more about adding apps to your forms here.

  1. Once a form is selected, you will be redirected to the form’s App tab. And that’s it, your form can now be filled via a web UI and WhatsApp both!

Technical Notes

  • After you install WhatsApp, it will take at least 24 hours before your users start receiving WhatsApp nudges to continue filling out the form.

  • The Number data type must be a part of your form, and ideally on the first page. We need to collect a user’s phone number to be able to send them a WhatsApp message.

  • If a form-filler drops off a WhatsApp-enabled web form, they will receive a nudge after 1 minute of their drop-off.

  • Currently, we only support the usage of standard templates created on the installation of the WhatsApp app.

  • The form blocks supported on the web interface and not entirely replicable on WhatsApp, so there will be limited interface resemblance. But rest assured, the data collected from the form-filler will be exactly the same.
